Forcing vaccines?

I am all for vaccines, but I just can't agree with forcing parents to vaccinate. If they don't, what will be repercussions under this law? Parents would avoid taking their ill child to the doctor when they should be seen. Oklahoma already has a 90% vaccine rate. And the law would be for all kids except those who cannot be vaccinated due to medical reasons.

I don't think ALL vaccines should be forced but definitely things like polio, mmr, hep b....ever meet someone with hep b and no immunity to fight it off? I have, it sucks to be them. I know the flu vaccine isn't 100% and only think it should be forced in schools and medical settings. I'm getting a titer check for pox because my case was so mild. I'll be vaccinated if needed purely so I don't pass it on to the less fortunate. 
Vaccinating isn't about "you", it's about everyone. If you had a child with CF, going through chemo tx's, organ failure, etc, how would you feel if they died of the flu, pertussis, measles? Something that could've been prevented had your neighbor or whoever been vaccinated to protect not just them, but the less fortunate. Yes, immunocompromised can die from things like flu and measles, not just because they can't be vaccinated but because their immune system is compromised meaning it's not going to fight it off easily if at all. No dose of vitamins and elderberry and Epsom salt soak is going to save them and they shouldn't have to "live in a bubble". Babies airways are much smaller and weaker which is why they're so affected. Look at what's happening on the west coast right now...those aren't small #'s, they're concentrated in small areas, but already spreading to surrounding counties. The whole "it's not my fault you're immunocompromised and crossed my path" thought is selfish. I believe in citations and peer review, not *alternative facts* by people who googled a lot or lost their license

That's like saying requiring kids to wear seat belts, or not being able to buy your child cigarettes is taking away their parenting rights. This ia not a question of what rights you have as a parent, this is a public safety hazard.

Threats to society trumps parental rights. Do you realize how fast people would die if everyone was unvaccinated? Just look at how fast those diseases took people out. There is no valid reason to leave your child unvaccinated and open to a multitude of diseases. You also have to have your children vaccinated to be able to enroll them in school and I know not every parent has time to homeschool or the money for a private teacher so we just let their education suffer because of "parental rights"? We're going to let children suffer and potentially die because of "parental rights"? Sure, let us risk an epidemic because of "parental rights".

I will always vaccinate (except for the flu shot bc pointless). BUT anti vaxers have every right to be skeptical. It's wrong to force a person to inject their bodies with a substance that comes from a giant company that has zero competitors.

I believe in vaccinating and have no problem telling people I think they're idiots not to. But that doesn't mean that the government should be able to force people. The government needs to stop trying to run people's lives.

I'm on the fence with this one. I really think everyone should get vaccinated and have their children vaccinated, unless they medically can't. But at the same time, I don't think we should take people's rights away from them.

Having so many people in my life that would not make it through the flu, or measles, or chicken pox, or any other of the many diseases we vaccinate against, I really lean towards making it mandatory though (allowing for medical exemptions).

Often times I hear people talking about the flu and those that die from it usually have some underlying issue. This is true. I wouldnt/couldn't contest that. But somebody else gave them that flu. Some healthy person caught the flu, and maybe wasn't really affected, so they stayed out and went to work, or went grocery shopping, or whatever. They cough into their hand, and continue to push that cart around. Then grandma goes and uses the same shopping cart, right after. Boom! That's all it takes. And it doesn't necessarily have to be the flu, you can insert any one of those diseases into that scenario. The outcome would be the same.

I know a good handful of people that were killed by the flu. It's scary. And it would kill my son.

That's the stupidest question. No, vaccines nor any other drug should be forced on anyone... ever. If you don't see that the government is exploiting "children's health" by forcing vaccines, then you need to wake up. Ask yourself this... Why are they only concerned about the children? Why do these rules not apply to the adult population? Probably because if people couldn't work bc they weren't vaccinated, the economy would plummet and the government would fall. So they bully parents to force unnecessary medical procedures on their children, despite their concerns and despite the fact that vaccine injury is real and unmeasurable (since no vaccine has ever been tested against a placebo). The manufacturers accept ZERO liability for their damages. If they are so "safe and effective" why do the manufacturers need protecting? They are the same people making the recalled drugs  plastered across your tv screen. What's the difference? They make garbage pharmaceuticals but killer vaccines? (pun intended)
