First time taking zoloft?

Can anyone give me their experiences with zoloft (sertraline) I took my first pill last night and I just want to know what I should expect like side effects, good effects, etc. Im taking it for depression l. Thanks!

Unfortunately I didn't do well with Sertaline. Made me quite aggressive and manic. But I know it worked well for my brother, made him more mellow and lifted him from his bouts of depression. I'm doing absolutely fantastic with Prozac now, but I know a lot of people do great with Sertaline, with minimal side effects. The first month of taking any SSRI can usually be a bit hectic though. Maybe have a chat with your doctor about what side effects you should look out for and if in about 2 or 3 months you're not happy with it, work with your doctor to find what medication will suit you best. I just got off of Zoloft actually. It acts mainly like a mood balancer, so my psychiatrist kept upping my dosage until I was basically sedated all the time. I didn't feel happiness or sadness or anything at all, don't let that happen to you, if you don't like the way it makes you feel call your psychiatrist and get it changed!

No side effects for me. It may take a couple of days to kick in, but it works for me!

I had no side effects. Except I am allergic to it so it gave me a medical rash. Other then that I liked it and it helped me
