My husband is on the board for our HOA.... they don't do a whole lot.... he mostly gets emailed from people who have complaints lol

I used to sit in a lot of HOA board meetings, it's not like being on a normal nonprofit board. It's is good if you have an interest in your property or feel they are not acting for your interests. You plan and negotiate property issues. Most HOA boards have open meetings, you should go sit in a few and see what you think!
