so i just got braces today, and i feel really self conscious about them. do they look bad ? plus i wear glasses so i feel like a nerd 😭

Braces are literally a grill without a grill. You get to customize your colors every time you visit the orthodontist. You literally OWN that experience and OWN your smile! 
When I had mine, I did everything I could to make sure I liked them each time I looked in a mirror. Pick a color that you know you wouldn't mind seeing in your mouth everyday and you don't feel like it's too dark, because they can literally never be too bright.

Baby girl don't worry, I had braces and still jave glasses I know exactly how you feel but once those beautiful teeth and straight you'll know why the pain is worth it. You are already such a beautiful young lady and once you get those braces taken off your confidence will go through the roof! My only advice is definately make sure you brush your teeth as often as possible. One it's healthy and too it was soothing for me when I got mine tightened because it helped me get used to the pressure almost like a massage lol. And two make sure you wear your retainers if they give you removable ones, I would suggest asking for perminent ones I have one removable and one permanent the removable one is a pain cause I always forget it but the permanent one is a godsend lol goodluck beautiful lady and remember that no matter what people say you are a gem (which means your strong and beautiful)

I've had braces and I wear glasses too. Felt weird at first but I started really liking them and always smiled in pictures, which I never do. I was sad when I took them off 😂 you'll rock them girl, a lot of people have braces and glasses!

Nope they don't look bad at all! I think many of us (myself included) who have had braces were sort of self conscious about them. The end product is so worth it though! Trust me :)
