Is this normal?

My 5 day old randomly will breath harder & fast mainly when he's asleep. Is that normal or should I ask his Dr about it ?

Very normal.  Babies breathing is very irregular and a lot faster than our breathing.

My baby does this while he's breastfeeding!

My pediatrician said it was normal. My baby is 5 weeks and does it a lot less now

Yeah it's completely normal - just asked the pediatrician about it a couple days ago because my baby was doing the same thing.

My 3 almost 4 week old does this, my 2 older babies did it as well so I believe it's pretty normal
