SHOULD I GO IN TO THE ER?

Don't know whether i should leave this alone or should I have it checked with a Dr. I'm 34 weeks pregnant! I have no phone service so I can't call my Dr.... Glass bottle popped in my freezer so while cleaning the mess a piece of glass that I didn't see cut me

lol. Imma go against the grain here and say you can probably slap a butterfly bandaid on that and go to urgent care in the morning. It looks pretty superficial. That said, if it's deeper than it appears, go in.

I'm a nurse - that looks to me as if it will not close up by itself... so I would go get it stiched/glued.

That looks like it needs stitches. If you wait, it could be too late to get stitches and you up your chances for infection or scarring. I cut my right index finger open with a dog food van and I didn't go in right away 😬 I got a big scolding from the doctor as infection or tetanus could have set in. It was too late for stitches, they said after waiting that long I would almost definitely get an infection if they stitched it up. I still have a huge scar, it doesn't bother me, but it's better for healing to get it taken care of. I didn't go in bc I didn't want to wait at the ER LoL

Personally, i wouldnt go to the er for this. You will wait HOURS to be seen. If you can wait til the morning, clean it well and cover then call your regular dr office or head to urgent care. Since it isnt related to pregnancy they will likely see you.
