pregnancy test

My period isn't due for another six days and I decided to take a cheapie pregnancy test this morning and I got a positive. Could I get a positive this soon in advance? I am 7 days dpo. My emotions are all over the place but I don't want to get excited quite yet. I've been trying for well over a year and it's been very difficult to get pregnant.
