disappearing positive?

Anyone ever have a faint positive, like for sure you know that thing was positive even thought it was faint. Then I had to go to a meeting so I stuck it in my purse and a few minutes letter we by to look again and it was gone???

This totally happened to me! My husband thought I was crazy because I showed it to him later and the line was gone...but I definitely am pregnant. Good luck!

The test result is only valid if you read it within the time you're suppose. You could easily 'lose a positive' or 'gain a positive that wasn't there' by reading it after that window. So if you had a faint positive at first go with that for sure 👍

I truly don't want to be a Debbie Downer, but 99% of the time when people talk about a disappearing positive the test just wasn't done processing yet.

When your pee starts traveling across the test, it goes across a dye line first and drags the dye with it. As it crosses the test line, you're going to see the line because it's dragging the color across. Same with the control line. But the control line is designed to catch some dye no matter what. The test line is designed to catch it only when hcg is present. If your pee is still moving across the test and the line "disappears" it's because the test is finishing processing and nothing stuck to the line because there was ultimately no hcg.

Just a nerdy tidbit from years of TTC and squinting.

Yep I had one of those 😐 but I'm sure it was just a dye run since every test after that was a BFN
