Anyone go to Dr. Wilson at the Reversal Clinic in OK? Please comment with details if yes!

My husband had a reversal with Dr Wilson last Feb, 4 days shy of 7 years from his original vasectomy. He’s 39 & I’m 35. We have 3 children together from before the vasectomy. At the time of the reversal, Dr Wilson truly helped us feel so at ease about our decision to go with him. I could tell he is the real deal & a man of strong convictions. He prayed with us prior to operating on my husband, & reminded us that although he’d do his best, only God can open the womb. We can’t afford ivf so for us, this was at least giving us a chance, as opposed to none, to have another child or two, at a price we could afford. During surgery he said he saw both heads & tails on both sides & gave us a 90% chance of conceiving. We have been actively trying to conceive now for 8 months. We’ve used preseed, tried the Smep plan, tried every other day bd’ing, etc. I chart bbt & track opk’s. My husband just started taking Fertilaid for men starter pack that includes count boost & motility boost. Im still very regular with my periods with confirmed ovulation. So I’m honestly starting to worry it was unsuccessful. My husband didn’t want to take in a sample because he felt like (1) Give it time, & (2) there’s at least some hope in the not knowing. If we reach the 1 year mark w/no bfp, then he’ll take in a sample just so I can quit stressing about it every month. In summary, even though we haven’t gotten our bfp yet, Dr Wilson comes HIGHLY recommended from us. Good luck to you on your journey!❤️😊

Yes. In august 2016. Still trying, both 32 and no children. The semen analysis came back last month and everything is good, normal sperm count and motility. I liked Dr. Wilson, he is clearly a very good man to provide the surgery at the cost he does.

We are scheduled for November but in the newer Rhode Island Reversal Clinic location(were in MD) and with Dr. Wilson’s associate, who’s a bit younger and does microsurgery.  
I’m newly 39 and hubby is 37-we have 2 children, 21 YO and 11 YO.  
I’m very nervous now after reading many negative outcomes both literally and emotionally :(  I’ve read them everywhere,
Not just here and I’m trying to stay optimistic, but I have serious anxiety ALREADY because I feel like I only have about a year to try.  I don’t want to try much past when I turn 40.

We traveled from CA and Saw DR Wilson in March of 2016. Just found out my husbands Reversal failed. DR. Wilson only does a VV and apparently my husband had a blowout of the epididymal tube on both sides and needs to have a VE done. Dr. Wilson tested samples on both sides of the vas deferans at the time of surgery and found zero sperm on both sides which apparently can mean there is an additional blockage, we didn't know that was a thing at the time, so we went through with the surgery. I advise going to a doctor that can do both procedures because they don't know what they will need to do until they get in there. We have wasted a year and a half waiting to find this out. Wish I had researched more in the beginning but I had no idea. As of now I am looking into Dr. Silber, Dr. Finnerty, Dr. Werthman and Dr. Bastuba who all have high success rates with both procedures and perform them frequently. And we are also looking into IVF. Tough decisions.

Yes, in September of 2015 (I believe..I literally forget everything 😂). We have been off and on trying for about a year now, but I have been having my own set of problems with not having a period and am working on losing weight and becoming more active to bring my cycle back. He has not done a SA yet. I filled my OB in on everything in May and she said we will test him at a later date if need be. First order of business is to get me ovulating again. I am so worried though that his VR wasn't successful, his tubes closed back up etc etc. I do wish he would have had an analysis done soon after, but he didn't want to 🙄 I can't remember what the percentage rate of success was that he told my DH when he looked at his semen with a microscope. He flew out from Oregon. I stayed home with the kiddos.

Oh my gosh Jamie I’m so sorry...I just realized this post was from last Feb! The irony is you asked the question on Feb 13...same day my husband had his reversal with Dr Wilson lol. Did you end up seeing him? Updates?

Yes, we got ours done in September 2016. We haven't been actively TTC and we haven't done our first SA yet. My husband had a very very bad hematoma after the surgery his balls were 3x the size, they were all purple. He had to take 2 weeks off work because of it and even after these 2 weeks he was still in a lot of pain. Also we are in February now and he still has pain in his ballsack, not severe pain but more uncomfortable than anything. His hematoma probably had to do with the fact that my husband isn't good at "taking it easy" lol...
