Thoughts on purchasing baby items such as bottles, neautrals, crib, etc. before even getting pregnant?

I would wait until you're actually pregnant. People think I'm crazy for buying things in my first trimester but I'm just too damn excited I can't help it.

Personally, it would make me sad to look at them empty for so long, and TTC can take a long time. I'd wait.

You can set up a nursery if you want. I wouldn't buy diapers, bottles, clothes, swings, jumpers or anything like that. You never know what season your baby will be born or what size. And if you buy a swing your baby will hate to swing. Same with bottles, you could buy one of each brand. You never know what they will like. My son was predicted to be 10lbs so we got nothing newborn. Well he came out 7lb14oz and fit into newborn everything until he was 5 weeks old. We had to scramble for clothes last minute.
