How soon after birth can you begin trying to conceive again?

If you had a c-section they say to wait 1 year, some say 2 years! I am ttc again and had my daughter 14 months ago. We started trying when she was 9 months old but I knew it would take ages to conceive again! 🙄🙄

Wait at least 6 weeks before even having sex. Your all torn up and it can open up tears and abrasions you got delivering. I can only imagine that it would feel terrible anyway. Give yourself a few months on prenatal vitamins after birth for your folate levels to go back up. Beyond that I would talk to your doctor.

I began having sex at just about 3 weeks post. And was clear by my OB to start trying again at 7wks.

I waited 8 weeks for sex because I had an episiotomy so my stitches had to heal down there lol. Baby is 5 months old now haven't been on contraception at all xx

You're doctor should suggest six weeks because your body is healing and trying to recover from birth! Usually after six weeks sex and exercise can resume! 😊
