Periods suck ass

So I originally get my period on the 4th and I didn't. I just got it today in the morning and a huge amount of blood came out and started running down my leg. Luckily, my professor cancelled class today so I stayed home which means I would've stained my jeans at school so thank god for that 😪 but anyway I just thought it was weird because normally when I start I get like a small amount on my underwear but this time it was a crime scene 😱
