So so I'm a virgin and only seen dicks in porn at the most, I've never been into a add shop so I've never seen dildos irl. I read  some article which said the average thickness (no not length) of a dick is 4inches😳 which didn't seem to bad until it tried putting something that was 2 inches thick (just out of curiousity to see if i could manage it. Rinsed my mouth and the tube afterwards) and almost breaking my jaw.

Surely they can't be that thick! 
Obviously I know all dicks are different and I don't expect anyone to go measure their S/O for me but just on average what would you say?

Penises arent 4 inches thick they are average 5-6 inches in length & about 1.4 inches thick. You misread

As the other poster said, max thickness would be maybe 2inches but average around an inch to 1.5 inches thick.

I think maybe the measurement that you were given was Circumference, which is basically the measurement with the tape wrapped all 360 degrees /around/ the width of the dick. You perhaps misunderstood the original measurement as Diameter, aka the width measurement straight across through the middle of the dick, aka something you can't measure with most home tools unless it was a cylinder with a flat across the top. Of course one /could measure outer diameter with something like calipers but I think he would mind from them being poky hardened steel. General rule though: most guys won't be over 2" in diameter, with the girthiest only being in that 2" category. I just think you confused one measurement for another.
