Breech Baby?

Question

When did your doctor check to see if your baby was breech or transverse? I am 34 weeks and I can't figure out which way my baby is. I am worried he is still transverse from his kicking (always on the right side), and I'm worried my doctor won't check his position soon enough to try turning techniques if he is breech or transverse 😳. I have read that it can be too late anywhere from 32-35 weeks, so I don't know if I should be worried that she hasn't checked yet? Any input?

I'm 35 weeks, 36 on Friday, and my OB will be doing the first check tomorrow. She said that they baby can move around until 36 weeks and that's when they get more settled. I've seen some other girls that are 37 weeks who are scheduling their appointment to get the baby turned so you should be okay!

My OB felt baby head down when I was about 30wks. They should be feeling your uterus at every appt and be able to tell by feeling where baby is at. Just ask at your next appt. My little guy has been head down for 4-5wks now but still kicks out to my right side because he's curled up. Head down, butt sticking out to the left and feet to the right.

My doctor has been checking position with just his hands since about 30 weeks. But yesterday I had an ultrasound at 36+1 to also determine position. Baby turned breech all of a sudden. He said if baby is still breech at my 38 week exam that we will schedule for a c section.

My midwives have been checking at the last couple of appointments 30, 32, 34 weeks and then next appt at 36 they will do an informal ultrasound. They basically just feel my abdomen for where the baby is with slight pressure. He's been he's down since 30 weeks but he kicks my right ribs and side a lot, it just depends on how they are curled. My midwife also said that heads tend to stay pretty still but butts move an awful lot😆

I was checked at 36 weeks via ultrasound. Most babies are head down by then, however even after that they can still flip and if not doctors can offer to try to manually turn baby.

I mostly feel kicking on my sides, but my doctor has said the baby is head down for weeks. Ask your doctor, since some can guess with the location of the sound of the heartbeats and feeling the belly.

Just ask them to check and feel for you. I was breech up until 37 weeks but he finally flipped. Check out spinning babies and visit a chiropractor who knows the Webster method. That's what I did.
