23 weeks grapefruit??

Question

So baby fruit has been getting bigger and longer e.g mango, eggplant etc then suddenly goes back to grapefruit? are grapefruits bigger in the US than UK cus in U.K. they're pretty small?! 😂 wondering why size has gone down! X

I was thinking that when I read 'your baby is now the size of a papaya!'. Well... Maybe the ones we get back in the UK, but the ones on the tree in my garden here in Bangalore are still unripe and freaking huge! Easily twice the size of the ones back in Tescos!

(Also, don't eat 'raw' papaya during pregnancy, as it can cause strong contractions. And proper ripe papaya tastes quite literally of shit... I've been giving these away :s)

Maybe it's saying the weight of a grapefruit. Sometimes they give you the fruit for the length and sometimes it's the weight. I'm guessing that's what this week is.

I was thinking that too... but I also thought a chinchilla is smaller than a guinea pig (Ovia pregnancy app) but I've only seen a chinchilla in photos so who knows 🤷‍♀️

I always wondered this too. But, I read somewhere that they don't go by the size of the fruit, it's the weight. So baby would weigh about as much as a grapefruit. And I would say a grape fruit is about the size of a softball and pretty dense/heavy.
