6 years and 6 months.... Clomid. Advice?

After 6 years of "not being careful" and over 6 months of actively trying (4 of which I had no period) our doctor prescribed me clomid... We have another appointment scheduled on Monday (one week after he prescribed it) 
Any advice from any ladies who have take it before? Any words of caution? Anyone in the same situation or willing to chat the stress away?

Clomid didn't work great for me, it thinned my lining and gave me a wealth of symptoms that made me too ill to BD. I much preferred letrozole (aka Femara) as I even fell pregnant while taking it! But this may be just what works for you so try it, just know there are other options! Best of luck and please don't hesitate to ask. I'm 8 years in and still ttc, so I know how much advice/experience can help.
