So I'm on my period and thick red globs are coming out on my pad and when I pee. Is this normal?

It can be. They're called blood clots and they happen when your flow is too fast for the anticoagulants to thin the menstrual blood. Technically blood clots aren't supposed to happen, but that doesn't mean it's always a bad sign. Blood clots can be normal for some people, but they can also be a sign of an underlying issue. If you get them frequently, they're larger than a quarter, or this isn't normal for you (this last one is harder to tell if you recently started getting your periods) you'll want to talk to your doctor just to be sure.
