Lesson Learned!

Nicole
Let me start by saying I am 6w4d pregnant by way of IVF.  So this morning I woke up at 5:00 with horrible pelvic cramping, went to the bathroom and I was bleeding heavily and passing clots.  I could barely stand yet alone walk so I laid back down.  I made it to work and when the doctors office opened, I called them and they said come right in.  I texted my husband and told him they needed to see me right away so he said he'd pick me up at work. On his way to pick me up, he knew I was thinking we lost the baby so he texted me and said "whatever happens just know we are in this together" ❤️
We go to the doctors office and they did the ultrasound.  Immediately, the doc went to the gestational sac and said "here is your sac, here is your yolk and here is your baby!"  Then he asked if we could see the little flicker and we said yes while wiping away tears of joy and he said that's your baby's heart beat.  He turned on the speaker and we could faintly hear it!  Baby has a strong heart beat.  Since our ultrasound last week, the baby doubled in size.  The doc continued looking at my other organs there and upon looking at the uterus, he said the placenta implanted a blood vessel in the uterus lining which caused the bleeding and clotting.  He showed us on the ultrasound where it was, the line of blood was a different color.  Everything measures what it should, the cervix is closed up from when they did the embryo transfer and my ovaries are good.
We are so relieved!  I totally wasn't expecting the great news but am so thankful!!  God is so good!!!!  I posted this in TMI to show you a pic of one of the clots I passed this morning.  I still have cramps but the bleeding has subsided.  So my lesson learned is to try not to freak out and think the worst.
