How do you get over cheating?

Can you really ever get over someone cheating on you? All I can do is sit here and think about it over and over. He was my fiancé. He knew I was pregnant with our rainbow baby. It's the most devastating, betrayal I have ever faced. Could I forgive him and move past it? Is it even worth the effort? I still love him but I don't think I could trust him again...

If he can do that to you while you're pregnant, and you let it go...he will do it again. Don't tolerate that, know your worth!  It'll be tough, but you won't regret it. Once a cheater always a cheater. Speaking from experience-

My husband had an emotional affair. After 10 years together. 2 years engaged and 6 months before our wedding.

We've been to therapy. We've discussed our problems....I'm not saying we're perfect but we have thought long and hard and I have to say harder than any other couple because instead of me being defensive and saying "bitch back off my man" I gave him a choice "go with her and I'll deal with the fall out or stay with me and we have a ton of shit to work out."

He chose to stay...:our wedding was wonderful but getting there was hard...it took a lot of tears and some intense conversations..our honeymoon was good....it lasted about a month until reality hit and we started the intense conversations again....it's been about a year since I found out....he hasn't cheated since but it wasn't like it was before. I still feel unhappy and insecure but the unhappiness could be because I quit smoking...who knows....all I can say is that it's not like it was before although I do love him. It just seems to have a limit now....especially when I replay what he said to her...and especially since I'm now without a best friend....that's right even at 30 best friends can be cunts

I honestly don't think it's healthy to love another more than yourself. Cheating, distrust, disloyalty unfaithfulness and all the feelings that come with it are highly toxic and you need to take yourself and your child out of that situation. Love yourself

My husband did it we've been married for almost 3 years now and we've been together for 6 years ...I mean it takes time ...we went to counseling but we're closer than ever ...I learned to forgive but never forget ...I actually joke about it now ...each person is different ...you both have to want it to work ...it's going to be tuff at first but it gets better ...

I get that you love him and all but TRUST is the key.  Being in a relationship with someone you don't trust it's like being in a car with no wheels, it won't go anywhere ..

Well it's not one sided, you'd both have to work at it. He'd have to adhere to your plan for making it work wether it's tell anything you need to know or never speak a word of the affair etc.

If you find that unicorn you let us know. I've heard of these people. I've never known anyone. I've seen people try. It never worked out. I tried myself. We ended up divorced. I'm pretty sure years ago moving passed it meant accepting it, working through the bad feelings & hoping it didn't reoccur. All I can imagine is that in time the cheater got old and tired and gave up the cheating eventually? I'm not sure. They just stayed married.
