Bottles?

So my son is 1yr old... & I want to start taking bottles away ... any tips? Lol he's been drinking from sippy cups for months now. He will drink water, juice, anything EXCEPT his milk in them

What I did was make the nipple of the bottle bigger so it is just a huge flow and my son never drank from it again

We got rid of bottles when my daughter actually bit the nipple off of one. I showed it to her and said, "oh my goodness the baba is broken! no more baba! I guess you'll have to use your sippy cup from now on!" And we never looked back... every time she would start to get an attitude about using the sippy cup, I would remind her that it was broken and all we have now are cups.

I just started limiting his bottles. One bottle at morning then night & a sippy cup in between. I did that for about 2 days then just quit with the bottles.

The night before my son turned one, I removed all bottles from the house. He took it like a champ, and was easy to transition. It was more of an out of sight out of mind thing. Never asked for one after that.

I guess I'm strict but I just went cold turkey with sippy cups only by 12 months. I did transition however with a sippy cup with a softer nipple like tip though before doing a harder spout. Don't remember the style name but it's by Nuk. Just keep trying the sippys and in my opinion they will take it if they're thirsty/hungry. Just might take many attempts!
