Best cereal for starting solids?

Does anyone have any recommendations for brand of cereal for starting solids? My baby boy will soon be six months and we are thinking of starting solids then but I want to give him the best. He has been exclusively breastfed and I plan to continue breast milk for at least a year.

Gerber organic oatmeal cereal. Mix it with your expressed breast milk in it if you can. If your baby can't eat the suggested amount to reach the proper iron intake, consider introducing meat or veggies rich in iron into the diet. Also beware of constipation. No one told me starting solids means, so my daughter was constipated for 4 days! I gave her prunes purée and a couple of teaspoons of avocado oil which fixed that problem.

If baby is already six months they're old enough for actual food. Cereal isn't a necessity

We got Gerber organic rice cereal. He did ok for the first 2 weeks then started getting constipated. Rice cereal, bananas constipate no matter what brand I'm sure. I just give him prunes or pears when this happens. Good luck 👍🏼
