Spotify Reviews?

My bf and I are trying to save money wherever we can because life gets a little more expensive when you move in together. I wanted to ditch iTunes and give Spotify a try and use my old student email address because then it's $5 a month which would save us a lot of money as far as a luxury costs is concerned. Do any of you like it or have any good experiences? I tried using the free music apps, but their songs are mostly covers of songs or poor quality.
