when will I ever get over

Trust issues. My boyfriend and I have been together for almost six years, met when we were 13 and 15, we are long distance still but closing the distance in the summer, thankfully! In the beginning we were so young so for the first couple years, of course mistakes were made, I have trust issues and I love him very much and I know a lot of people will say if you can't trust him, why be with him? Because I am beginning trust him more than I have ever trusted anyone and am trying to not let my insecurities win, he is going to his friends land this weekend and we won't be able to talk, is it normal I feel uneasy about this? I don't want to be that girlfriend, just if anyone has had trust issues, how did you fix them.
