Right to be mad?

I bought my boyfriend chocolate for Valentine's day and he said he didn't want it. Do I have the right to be upset over this?

Not really. If he doesn't want/like the chocolate it's nothing to he mad about. More chocolate for you!

You have the right to feel any emotion you want feel. And yes, I do think it's rude to not politely accept a gift - it's the thought that counts.
