Baby weight and percentile?

So they told me my son is weighing 4 pounds 3oz and in the 53rd percentile. I'm not quite sure what that means, I'm 32 weeks is that a normal weight or is he too big i got diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes I'm worried he will get too big 😩

My twins were 3 lbs 3 oz and 3 lbs 9 oz yesterday just under 31 weeks and I don't have GD so I would say you're fine 😉

It means out of 100 babies the same age gestation your baby is bigger than 52 of them. You're at the average mark, not big and not little

My son weighed 4lbs 8oz and in the 92nd percentile at 30w6d. I don't have GD, but they won't let you go to your due date of baby is measuring too big so don't worry about that. Just relax 😊😊

I'm 29 weeks 5 days and my boy weighs 3.5 pounds. He's in the 67th percentile. We are just growing strong babies! Nothing to worry about unless the doc says so. :)

Once the baby is above the 90th percentile then your doctor will discuss delivery options as he may or may not be a big baby. Im in the 90th percentile with type two diabetes and getting induced due to his size and my sugars. Remember everyone is different. 53% percentile is still average.

31 weeks and baby girl is weighing 4 lbs. No GD but I'm so tiny I'm now going for weekly ultrasounds to make sure she doesn't run out of space! 😂
