I have a cold during my first trimester and I'm freaking out!
This is my first pregnancy and I know it's normal to be a bit worried but I am FREAKING OUT! I am exactly 6 weeks today and I have gotten a bad cold. I have been running a slight fever (99-100 degrees), my nose is stuffed, I'm sneezing, have body aches, headache, and my throat is starting to feel sore. I don't have health insurance yet and my first ultrasound (with the free clinic) isn't scheduled until next Friday (a week from today). My biggest fear is miscarrying. Family and close friends all insist that as long as I rest and drink lots of water I'll be fine but I'm still FREAKING OUT. If this has happened to you, what did you do to (if anything) to ensure the safety of your baby? Should I be running to the ER? Is there anything else I can do to help keep my baby healthy and safe? PLEASE HELP!
