the ring! explain ???

Question

Can some lovely lady tell me about the ring and what I should know. I'm not a fan of pills or having the rod in my body for a long time. Also where would I get it from and do I need a parent as I'm 16yrs and there currently away. Someone help me out aha X

The ring is this plastic looking ring that you pinch together for it to narrow down to make it easier for inserting in your vagina. You change it ones a month. It's a form of birth control and my personal experiance with that thing was HORRIBLE!!! Everyone is different and I've heard some of my friends say they loved it and had no bad symptoms with it but personally felt like it ruined me for the months I did use it... although yeast inflections are very common i had never had one before. Having that ring was giving me yeast infection after yeast infection and the dr told me it supposably had nothing to do with the ring but I'm 100% sure it did and reading the side affects, yeast infection was on the list. It also gave me mood swings like crazy and gave me a bit of depression. 
You'll never know if it works for you until you try it for yourself. And if it works well for you it has its pros for example you don't have to constantly remember to take a pill everyday that can result in an unplanned pregnancy. I used to get mine at planned parent hood for free but after trump defunded it I wouldn't know if you'd have to pay out of pocket for it or how it works. you can always go in and ask questions. I learned more about the ring there as they explain to you in details if it's your first time getting it.

The nuvaring was my absolute favorite birth control method Iv used. The pill made me absolutely crazy, I would cry at the drop of a pen & try to kill anyone in arms reach, I had ZERO sex drive & also had the WORST migraines Iv ever had on top of it I gained a lot of weight so that's that. When I started using the nuva ring my moods evened out and I lost all of that extra weight that I gained from the pill plus more & my acne breakouts were somehow disappearing which made me one happy girl! BUT the downfall is...I did start to notice after a week of having it in, what seemed like a yeast infection would pop up but then it would go away a few days later and would repeat once every month. I think it just depends on your body and how it takes new things, sometimes it's terrible for one person and a blessing for others. Birth control is a trial and error type of thing so it's most deffently going to take some time to try to find the right thing for you. Good luck!

Tired the ring, hated it. Had constant yeast infections from it and still get a flare up of itch. I've been on the patch for a year, and I love it! I would recommend looking it up. You change it once a week for 3 weeks and it's awesome.
