My doctors office does most ultrasounds in 2d but they have the capabilities of doing it in 3D and they do both 2d and 3D. It's pretty neat.

My office offers them for  $200 for a 30 to 45 minute session. It's not part of any check up its only if you want one done. They also only offer them between 26 and 32 weeks because the baby is still small enough to be seen well on an ultrasound but are developed well. Once they get too big all you can do it see parts of their body at a time and it's harder to make out.

Yes my drs office has ability to do 3D/4D ultrasounds but no they don't offer them for free unless ur high risk or need one for genetic reasons (certain tests come back positive u get one like with my first I came back high risk for downs and I turned down amnio but they gave me a 3D ultrasound) so yes they HAVE it but no not everyone gets one
