Baby turning into place?

Hi ladies,

I have been experiencing period-like cramping in front and lower back for several hours. We ruled out Braxton hicks and Pelvic Girdle pain because I've dealt with both since 2nd trimester and this feels different. I called my doctor when the pain increased and she thinks the baby could be moving into place (he's laying transverse right now). If the pain doesn't ease up after a couple of tylonol then she wants me to see her at the hospital.

Any of you felt this when the baby was moving head down? I'm 32 weeks today.

I had been feeling period cramps and lower back cramps (like I'd get while on my period) earlier in the week. Yesterday I noticed that she was kicking in a different place and the bottom of my stomach was really stiff. I went to a 3D ultrasound today and she was head down. I think she had been turning. I'm 31 weeks and 4 days today.
