I am currently 18 weeks pregnant with my second son. We went yesterday for our anatomy scan. The baby is breech right now and the US tech said getting everything for the scan can be difficult while the baby is in this position. She mentioned specifically that she couldn't see the heart or spinal cord well while he was breech. When I went to talk with the dr after he said the the umbilical cord only had 2 vessels opposed to the normal 3 (2arteries and 1 vein) he said this can be associated with an increased risk of heart and kidney problems for baby as well as intrauterine growth restriction. I was just curious if anyone else had any insight or experience with this and would care to share? We go back to repeat the scan in 3 weeks.
