Why do tampons stop my period?

I just took out a tampon after 8 hours and it was completely white. I put a pantiliner on and 20 minutes later my flow is back. Whattt the hell?

Bc it goes inside your vagina like when you have sex with a guy or get fingered that could get your period to stop too

Your flow isn't constant, it will sporadically bleed as the lining pulls away. If you've ever worn just a pad all day during a heavy flow day, you'll be able to tell when you are actively bleeding. Sometimes when you have a low flow or slower flow day, it won't soak a tampon. And the tampon can act like a stopper, so sometimes pulling it out can "restart" your flow. Try only wearing pads on those days so you aren't having a dry tampon.
