Had anyone ever?

Just curious if anyone has ever had their membrane scraped? I'm debating on doing it but I keep hearing horror stories about how bad it hurts.

I had mine swept in my last pregnancy. It was painful but not super painful or unbearable. The midwife told me to go home and have sex so we did. Labour started the next morning. I think it was so worth it to get things going.

Compared to the pitocin, catheters and oxytocin I had after a few sweeps failed to do anything, no. It doesn't hurt at all. If it helps you avoid any of those be greatful!

I had it done the other day and it wasn't painful at all. A little uncomfortable but no pain

Agree, the membrane sweep for me was uncomfortable at most- not painful. I had it done two days before my due date. Had sex the same night, lost my mucus plug and went into labour a day later on my due date!

I had it done twice. It wasn't painful, a little cramps but that's about it.
