maternity clothes?

This is my first pregnancy and I am wondering when will I need to start wearing maternity clothes? My husband has commented that I could start shopping for maternity clothes with our clothes budget if I wanted. At 16 weeks, I don't really have any idea what I should invest in and what I should just skip on. Some of my jeans are snug but nothing that I can't fit into. All of my tops still fit but my boobs have kinda exploded so i'm selective on what I wear. 
I would appreciate anyone's suggestions on maternity clothes- what I should buy? What sizes do I buy? And any other tips maybe. Thanks!

I have gotten mine from Target so far. They usually have some on clearance and right now apparel is 25% off on cartwheel so you can get some good deals! I went shopping yesterday and saved a bunch!

Target and Old Navy are my go to for maternity clothes. Even thrift stores. Try to avoid big name shops like Motherhood and Pea in the Pod- I mean why spend $60-80 on pants you're only going to wear for 3-4 months!? 😂 
When shopping for maternity clothes buy what you normally would buy except for maternity styles. Jeans, tshirts, whatever is your style. Personally I find comfy lounge pants and baggy shirts a total go to while pregnant. I'm a mom of six pregnant with baby 7.

I just bought a bunch of maternity clothes used from different women around my city. I got to pick and choose what I wanted and was about to get 40 items for only $120!!!

It try thrift/usd shopping.  Cause I can't afford the cute stuff.  But they could and I scored it for super cheap when they were done with it! (I did not know these women) I used the Facebook marketplace app.

Also, pants are the main thing.  The staples.  Jeans, black pants, white tee, black tee.  And you can buy prices as you go.  Target and old navy have cute stuff.

I've been wearing maternity leggings for a month now. I don't need to wear any shirts yet. For my first pregnancy, I think I began wearing maternity shirts around 23-24 weeks. My favorite places are destination maternity, macys, and h&m. I spent $77 between the three shops last month and got 7 summer dresses, 3 VERY comfortable and warm fleece leggings, a summery shirt, a cute flirty tank top, and a pair of shorts. One of the dresses alone was originally $50 so you can see the deals I got compared to what I overall paid for everything. 
I'll never pay full price for maternity clothes. I bargain shop/online shop for deals like crazy because I prefer to buy new clothes. I have a few lounge pants, a pair of jeans, and a few other tank tops, long sleeve shirts, and maternity pants/leggings from my pregnancy last year so I would say I'm good to go now. If I can find another pair of jeans for a good price I'd get them since the jeans I have now are gray. I'd like some blue jeans as well.

I'm 16w with twins and have just a tiny bump but I haven't fit into my regular jeans comfortably since about 12w. I pretty much live in leggings and sweaters/sweatshirts. I did buy 1 pair of nicer jeans so far from old navy on sale that I've worn out. I'm trying to hold off on buying more until I absolutely need to. I know come spring/summer I'll be quite large so I'm trying to set aside some money for some shorts/capris, a few shirts, and some maxi dresses. I have a lot of summer shirts that are loose fitting and flowy since I like that style for my everyday wear anyways so I'm hoping I can get away with wearing some of those. Old navy has great prices as well as zulily.com. I tried Target but their maternity section was SO disorganized and I wasn't really in the shopping mood so I do want to go back at some point and give it another go.

I bought at target when they were on sale. I got some shorts and one pair of pants. I bought ones that were a little baggy because I figured most likely my belly won't be the only thing growing. But not too big. I also got some at Ross and if there's a Burlington around they have good sales I have a couple shirts from there. It's nice having shirts that make you look pregnant and not fat lol. I'm 17 weeks so I bought stuff I can wear throughout the rest of my pregnancy.

14 weeks all my clothes were becoming uncomfortable... went to Ross and bought a few pairs of maternity pants and shorts as welll as shirts! Feeling much more comfortable now!

I needed to buy a dress for a funeral so I broke down and got a maternity dress that I can wear over the next few months. Macy's carries motherhood maternity and they had a lot of stuff on clearance. Plus if you bought 2 items you got 20% off, 3 items you get 25% off, and 4 items or more you get 30% off. I bought a few tops as well since I was finding those didn't fit me as well.

Target has amazing stuff. I went there yesterday actually. I'm 14 weeks and I couldn't  fit my clothes any longer. I had a melt down and my husband took me shopping lol. maternity clothes are so comf lol
