Does a HSG make you more fertile?

I had a HSG dye test done Jan 30th. During the test we learned that my left tube was partially blocked and my right tube was completely blocked. So my doctor inserted the dye twice to clear the blockages. We were successful in clearing the blockages. My husband and I have been trying for over a year with no luck. I'm trying not to get my hopes up but I keep hearing that you are extra fertile after having an HSG. Is this true?

Yes I have heard that you are more fertile for 3 months after an hsg.. The dye clears everything out of your tubes so it makes it easier for sperm to swim through. I had no blockage, my hsg was normal, and I conceived the same cycle I had it done. Good luck!

I got pregnant 3 Days after my hsg. I've read it's quite true that your are more fertile after this.

I've heard it's not that your extra fertile, just that your more fertile than you were because the blockage is gone. So like your back to your fertility max so to speak.

I wish, didnt get pregnant till 9 months later n had had 4 rounds of fertility meds
