Is this your first or second month using? Different kits require a bit of history before they know what your levels are like and recognise the next time when peak is for you like the clear blue advanced fertility monitor. It's something like your estrogen levels that go up and record a high reading and then an LH spike/surge which is a different hormone will show you're ovulating and give a peak reading. The hormones change and work together on opks.

If you take your bbt everyday you will see a pattern that correlates with ovulation.

You could be or not. Only way to know if you reach ovulation is confirmative tests from doctor. You can get a bit more of an a home confirmation with taking temp. But, still, blood tests and ultrasounds are the main way to get answers.
