Weight loss while taking anti depressants?

I started taking zoloft maybe 2 weeks ago and I noticed I've lost a ton of weight, im not upset by it but im wondering how healthy it is to lose about 10 pounds so fast? I dont really have an appetite most of the time and I eat maybe one big meal a day while snacking while im at work. Should I be concerned?

It's pretty normal for a majority of anti depressants, when I started I lost 10lbs and slowly started getting it back after a month/2 months.

I was in Zoloft when I was younger and I lost 19 lbs with in the first 3 weeks and my doctor had said it was normal to lose weight. But I'd talk to your doctor if it concerns you that much. I wouldn't be too worried, though.

Antidepressants can sometimes make you lose weight. Usually by killing your appetite. If you were a bigger girl and then stopped eating because you don't have much of an appetite then 10 pounds may not be that weird.

Regardless, all side effects that you notice should be brought up with your doctor.
