Lump on breast?

I'm a little bit worried and I'm not sure if I should be. For the past week, my breasts have been sore and itchy. I notice last night, right beside the nipple there is a spot that feels a bit rough and feels like a little knot under the skin.. I've never experienced this before. Idk if it's related, but I'm about a week away from having my period.. if that helps. I'm just concerned about this! Breast cancer runs in my family on both sides! Help!!!
