How much help does a new mother need?
I have a doula which will help me through labour, but a maternity nurse that will help me through the first 2 months of the child's life. She will be a full time maternity nurse up until 3-4 weeks, after that she will be a night nurse for the rest of the 2 months.
My partner will help out with settling the baby at night as well when needed.
Some people say it seems a bit much or that she'll be under our feet in those first few tiring weeks. I don't think so, but I'm not sure.
