Directly from my Davis's Drug Guide for nurses. ALWAYS assume antibiotics will effect your birth control. Use backup contraception if you are avoiding pregnancy!(:

Can confirm, I was on an antibiotic for a sinus infection and the period I had soon after (on time) was COMPLETELY different from my usual periods. I don't have to worry about actual pregnancy prevention, so I don't know how it affects that, but it definitely messes with the hormones

YES!!! My best friend got pregnant TWICE on antibiotics, she was preventing getting pregnant and the first time she said he even pulled out! 😂
