How to conceive while breastfeeding? Desperate!

I have a 6 month old and had a super healthy pregnancy. Was grateful to have gotten pregnant first month but hubby and I started late in our marriage (getting old over here) so we want to get a jump on Baby #2...problem is, no sign of cycle starting and I REALLY do not want to give up breastfeeding our little bundle yet.

Can't wait to get started on building our fam again but fear it won't be awhile because of breastfeeding. Would love advice on how to keep breastfeeding while getting their cycle to start up again!!!

It's definitely possible to conceive while BF, just don't give up either one!! It may take a while but that's just your body's way of saying it's not ready to be pregnant again. Most health professionals recommend waiting almost 2 years for your body to be 100% ready for another pregnancy. So just let your body do its thing and you will conceive eventually.

Loads of people get pregnant whilst breastfeeding, just go for it and see what happens. 
I have heard though it's good to wait a year because then your body has a chance to replenish all the 'good stuff' that gets passed on to your baby.

I know a couple who conceived during breastfeeding, about month 8 I think? But there's a reason our bodies don't have cycles during breastfeeding- it's already a lot of energyI think you'll have to chose one or the other.
