What would you say is an abusive relationship?

Answer

Abuse can be emotional or physical. An abusive relationship is where the person feels as though they are being targeted or are not comfortable in their relationship and are constantly put down.

You can veer have some fear of this person... you can feel like you have no say, or feel like you're being controlled. There are tight grips on the arm or mean looks! At any point in time where you feel like you're trapped or you start to question " what am I doing wrong" or " am I not enough", that's abusive

I think you'd know, or at least feel doubts. And if you're having second thoughts about if your relationship is abusive or not... it probably is.  If that person makes you feel like shit, manipulates you, makes you feel bad for stuff you shouldn't feel bad for. Also, if you don't feel safe with them, or is scared to leave them because they might hurt you... That's emotional abuse, but it's often times overlooked.  Then of course physical and sexual abuse is a lot easier to diagnose. But all three are not fun. And not something you should put yourself through.
