YES THIS THIS THIS! Literally just sent this to my MIL because she lets him watch tv, eat sweets, and does not have to read when she babysits. If it continues, she doesn't respect me after time and time again after me trying to explain things to her, she is out! I will not allow my parenting to fail on someone else disrupting what I am doing with my child.

I love it. You should never undermine what the mother has already said. I don't allow my son to have soda and if someone gave it to them after I already told them no I'd be pissed.

Agreed! My niece is 3 years old and if she wants like some sugar or more juice, I always have her ask her momma first. If her mom says no then I say "well maybe later you can have some." I think also it's a little disrespectful to the parents if someone goes behind their back to get on the child's good side
