How Long Should It Hurt?

So, on the 14th this month I lost my virginity to my boyfriend. Yes, it hurt pretty bad. Lol. We didn't get too far into it, because he wasn't feeling to good when hearing me in pain and just stopped. At the time I'll trufully say it didn't hurt that bad, but enough I couldn't keep at it. We tried once again a couple days ago and the pain wasn't as bad as the first time, but definitely enough I couldn't finish. Tonight we tried and he barely put it in and it was just too painful for me to endure this time.
Why is this and will this pain eventually stop?
Also before every time we do this oral is preformed. As well I have lower & upper back and neck problems. Im a 18 year old athlete. His penis has a tad more girth than most.
Could these be possible factors?

My first time hurt a lot to even to the point my downstairs felt sore for atleast 3 days after. Being extremely wet down there helps a lot so if u can't achieve this from foreplay then I seriously reccomend lube. Also try laying on your side and let your boyfriend go in from the behind I found this much more comfortable.

Don't worry, it will be better with time, even if you are struggling now. Make sure to use a lubricant and perhaps take time in allowing your body to adjust as you have sexual intercourse (especially if his 'girth' is bigger). It can be difficult in the beginning for a lot of people but don't be afraid to keep trying!
