How do you stop credit card companies from calling you?

I litterally get 3 to 4 calls per day to open up credit cards.  Its annoying,  how can make this stop????
Update: I think you are missing the point.  My credit score is high.....they are calling  to give me credit cards that I don't want. I am tired of the calls.

Answer the phone with a big prepared speech that "calls to this number will be charged at £8 a minute, if you wish to disconnect please do so now..." spins them right out haha x

Tell them you are absolutely not interested and to take you off their calling list, make sure your very polite about it too and they'll be. Ore inclined to actually do it.

Sign up for the national do not call registry. Ask them to take you off their list, and how their list is populated so you can try to fix it at the source.  Be careful when you're signing up for things online or in stores that you un-check the advertising boxes.

I work for a bank and I can tell you by law if you contact the banks who are calling you and tell them to put you on the do not call/email list they cannot contact you for 7 years. But be prepared to share your information so they can track it.

Put yourself on the national do not call list. If they still call, ask them for the name of their company, their name and the name of their supervisor. Get the names and inform them that why've committed a crime by calling you. Record the number they called from, the date and the time and report it to the BBB. I've done it and haven't gotten calls since.

If it's on your cell phone you can block numbers. When I get random calls from other states I block right away!
