Is it okay to not do games at my baby shower ???????

I asked this question the other day and got some really good advice. Personally I don't like games at a baby shower so I'm not doing any. Instead I think I will have a few activities like onesie decorating (another Glow member's idea).

Yes it's okay. Personally I always like showers with games though because then I have a chance for a prize!

I'm not a game person either! I'd rather socialize eat and enjoy the day with my guest. No one likes being told it's game time.... instead we will be doing a diaper raffle, if you bring a pack of diaper u have a chance to win a prize... a baby bottle with m&m or jelly beans inside and u have to guest how many are in there and using string guess how big my belly is and again you'll win a prize. So more of a fun little game then a game , game!

Oh god I hope we don't play games. The past few baby showers I've been to we didn't have to play games - just spent time eating, socializing and opening gifts. The showers I've been to usually all have something you can fill out for advice cards for the new mother - so instead of playing a game it's generally fun to read the advice cards, especially if you have some funny people in the group.

The shower I'm having is very small, so instead of Games we're going to have "Late night Diapers" where they can write something cute, funny or motivational on the butt of the diapers when we change the baby at night. We're also going to do "Guess the Birthdate!" And advice to mom cards. The only thing we're doing that involves a gift is the diaper Raffle, and that's just a gift card.

I think it's okay to not play games, it's your party and you can not play if you want to lol.  I'm just confused as to what you're supposed to do at a baby shower, especially if you're not playing games?
