disappointed

So I had my first appointment today and I was told I would be meeting with the doctor but I only met with a nurse we signed papers and did a little medical background. She gave me a bag full of things and told me to go make my next appointment.. she said the next one I would meet my doctor. I'll be over 12 weeks by then and I just find it crazy I'm not actually meeting my doctor till then..
