Hey! So let me start by saying that my boyfriend is 25 and I am 18 (19 on July 17) so no one is underage lol. But the problem is, I can't tell my parent's about him. Why? He's white, and I'm black, and my parents would literally disown me if they found out, my dad especially. I'm not ashamed of him but I know there would be a lot of conflict and I'm trying to avoid it at all cost .... So this is where things get difficult. I have a car, and I'm seeing him in a couple of weeks for our first date (since my friend is coming up for the weekend. We talked for going on 3 months now, since I recently moved to this state). He lives about 10-20 minutes away in general and we never got to see each other, because not only are my parents strict but extremely weird when it comes to me wanting to do stuff. I respect their rules, but they have to let go at some point and I hate being suffocated by them and sitting home doing nothing every day. He's recently asked me to go to this concert in May, and I want to go, but I'm not exactly sure you're to bring it up to my parents... I don't have friends here, they're all back in Florida.

I'm thinking about letting them know that I've "met someone" while out with my friend, but I'm not even sure how they would take it. Help? Please? I want to be open with them... But just can't....
