Are you going to/have you gone on a hospital or birthing center tour?

We went. I think it was most beneficial for my husband. I think he kind of feels lost in the process cause it's our first child and I've always talked with my mom friends about their births and stuff but the guys don't seem to go into as much detail with each other. So it helped him picture what at least part of it looks like.

I'm delivering baby #2 in the same hospital I had my first son in so I'm not sure if I'll do the tour again. My OB keeps insisting since they moved the post-partum rooms to another floor and he says their bigger. Maybe I'll do it solely for the freebies you get at the end of the tour lol.

I'm not going to do a tour solely because I will be delivering this baby at the exact same hospital I delivered my daughter at just 16 months ago. Lol. I did take a tour before I had her though.

I went to mine last week. Because the hospital is under flu restrictions we weren't able to tour the maternity ward. They showed us pictures and explained things. It was helpful, but not as helpful as actually going to see it would have been

Mine was part of our childbirth education class so it was super awesome. The tour was pretty short, mostly just walking in the room and chatting for s moment as she explained different things like visitor rules, time, the fact our visitors need a code and blah blah. It wasn't what I would call NECCESARY but it definitely helped! For one, our hospital is like a maze 😂 but it also showed me I picked the PERFECT hospital to give birth in, I'm so excited.

Kind of. I have never taken a tour of the hospital I would typically deliver at. But I have to deliver at a different hospital this time. And I say kind of because we've gotten a tour of the NICU baby will be in for at least a week but not a tour of the delivery/labor rooms.
