first OB appointment ???

I have my first OB appointment march 20th I should be 8-9 weeks at that point will they do a sonogram at that appointment or will it not be done until my 12 week appointment?

I went to my first appointment today and got an ultrasound and heard the heartbeat and everything. They usually do them around 8 weeks, 12 weeks and then every 4 weeks. Im sure theyll give you one!

It depends on your office you may want to ask. Mine does on that day. Then another a week later

I thought I was gonna get a scan at my first appointment but I was called and told I need to set one up before my doctors visit

I'm in Chicago-first appt at 8 weeks is to confirm, blood work, medical history, etc. they told me specifically when I made the appt that the ultrasound would be scheduled while I was at my first appt-I assume 9-10 weeks? My appt is next week!

My first appointment is the same day! They scheduled me for an ultrasound and an appointment with my midwife. 😊

Depends on the doctor at the very least they will do a Doppler to check for a heart beat.
