Anyone know how to get rid of these bumps?

I've had these bumps all over my arms since I was little. I've been to dermatologists who have told me it's because of dry skin building up around where the hairs are growing. However, I've covered my arms in lotion night after night and they don't seem to be going away. My favorite moisturizer in the entire world is "Utterly Smooth" because it makes my skin feel wonderful. But even it won't get rid of the bumps on my arms. Does anyone have these bumps and know the reasoning behind them? Or a way to fix it?

It's hard to tell from the pictures, but it could be keratosis pilaris, or "chicken skin". I've had it since I was a kid and the best way for me to keep it under control is to keep my upper arms shaved (where it's the worst), exfoliate in the shower, and I use Gold Bond lotion for "Rough and Bumpy" skin. It's caused by dead skin cell buildup around your arm-hair follicles.

In 2013 I was diagnosed with a skin condition. Forget what it's called, so sorry, but it looks a lot like that. Totally harmless. Caused by dry skin. It's a ton of red bumps, and skin that looks like a rash. Maybe some itchiness if it's super dry. Mine got so bad that my skin was tinted purple all the time. But my dermatologist prescribed me CeraVe moisturizing lotion. You can buy it anywhere. I only use it every time I shower which is every 2-3 days. It's made a huge difference. I also just started using burnt brown sugar soap and that's doing wonders for my skin too. Try turning down your heat when you shower also. I noticed that makes a little bit of a difference for bumps.

I have them too. I hate them. When I get hot in the summer everyone thinks I have sunburn and  I don't. I get so embarrassed by it. It why I love the colder weather so I can wear long sleeves.

My wee sister has them and tae doctor said she'll have them for life unless she gets cosmetic surgery to remove them.

Her said that I'd does have something to do with dry skin but it's also a genetic condition (doesnae hit everyone though) my other wee sister doesnae have them and I do to a lower extent (you cannae see mine much but I have scars so that's probably why)

It's just something you're gonnae have to put up with I'm afraid

I have read that can be caused by a wheat or gluten allergy, sometimes even dairy. Try restricting your diet if you can and see if it starts to clear up in a month or so.
